Search & Replace Field Codes in Word
Ever need to find text and replace it with field codes - especially in a large Word file. Here's the way to do it. Find a single instance of the field you want to use. If you do not have one yet, create one so you can get all the correct codes. Make sure Field Codes are visible in your document.
Find the code in your document and copy it to the clipboard. Now, open up the Find dialog box, insert the text you want to replace in the Find What box and then type in "^c" in the Replace With field (do not type the quotation marks). This will then replace your text with the contents of the Clipboard.
